The Original Nordic Viking brand was created by Anders Jonsson, also the founder of NOCOM, listed on the Stockholm stock exchange. The New Nordic Viking brand was created to achieve a more possitive attitude toward the region.

The brand stands for an active expansion and integration of the Nordic region in order to promote a more effective Nordic Market. We also actively support activities marketing the opportunities of the region to the rest of the world.

2005-08-26 Nordic Vikings yesterday defeated Swedish First Division Team Borlänge with 2-0

The game against Borlänge was pretty leveled and the diffrence between the teams was prior the work of the Vikings goalies. First Swedish Peter Andersson and than later Finnish Tommi Kela who did not let anything go over the line. The Vikings took best care of their chances and caused Borlänge, a top level Swedish First Divison Team their first pre season defeat. by 2-0. In one of the last minutes of the game the youngest Vikings player 1988 Chinese born player. Chen Wie almost put in the 3-0,... but totally left alone with the goalie he couldnt score the first Chinese goal for Vikings... The next generation of Chinese players are on their way...

2005-08-23 Nordic Vikings signs Head Coach from Finnish SM Liga

Jarmo Jamalainen last season coach for Ilves in the Finnish SM -Liga, Premiership, has been appointed to lead the Vikings team in Asia. Jarmo has a background both as a player and coach in all topleagues in Europe

2005-08-19 Nordic Vikings Camp Start 22 August in Mora and August Pre Season Game

Nordic Vikings will Start the Camp in Mora on Monday 22 August and As stated earlier by the Sport Manager Shin Larsson the Nordic Vikings Team is going for a top position in the League. Since the Sport Competence Exchange with China 8 August we have been able to look at our 6 Chinese Players. They have for 6 days been training with the Swedish Professionals, mainly from NHL, and we have seen a lot unexplored talent among them that we hope could be integrated in the team so the season looks really interesting

2005-08-19 Swedish Icehockey Legend Ulf " Lill Pröjsarn " Nilsson enter Nordic Vikings Board. Swedish Icehockey Legend Ulf " Lill Pröjsarn " Nilsson will enter the board of Nordic Vikings Team. Ulf Nilsson was one of the first Swedish Pioneer and Stars in Amerika in both WHA and NHL will bring in to the board both some pioneer experience and of course all the tremendous sport skill that he carry on. He will also represent the minority and small owner in the Nordic Vikings Team

2005-08-10 The Nordic Vikings Rooster are now complete. 14 New players and 2 Coaches on the Nordic Vikings Rooster 2005. has been released in Beijing 7 August and Stockholm 9 August together with the 8 earlier released players meaning that Vikings now have an complete Rooster of 22 players.. We are going to add the rooster with 1 Head Coach and 2 Players, 1 Danish and 1 Icelandic, before the camp starts in Mora. 22 August.

In conjunction with Exchange of Chinese Players Nordic Vikings will play an first introduction and exhibition game in Beijing, Shouti Competition Center at 18.00 Local Time. Joachim Tangen is a big defensman from Sarpsborg and he is the first Norweigian Player to Sign for Nordic Vikings. He has played 4 seasons in the Norwegian Premership and will play an important part in the Vikings defense..

The exchange day is set to be 6 August in Beijing, at the Chinese Great Wall and the name would be relased in Beijing when The Nordic Vikings Team hosting a Welcome party at Jan Owe Waldners Bar, W- Sports and Music Bar in Beijing the same day

2005-04-21 Asia League Ice Hockey today in Tokyo announced officially the participation of two new teams,Nordic Vikings and Kongwon,next season 2005 – 2006

Nordic Vikings Team participation meet a big interest from the Japanese Press who was especially interesting in the standard of the team and Chairman Owe Andersson declared that according to the General Manager Shin Yahata Larsson the team come to Asia League Ice Hockey to became a top team and is going for the title.

2005-04-20 Nordic Vikings has completed the Chinese Sport Package

Today the Chinese sportpackage was completed with the signing of the last exchange players. The Exchange Program concludes exchange of players and coaches between Nordic Vikings, Harbin and Qiqihar. Nordic Vikings is sending to

Coach Jari Koskinen togehter with the players Nicklas Blomquist, Stefan DuRietz and Stefan Sanden to Harbin and coach Anders Westerlund togehter with the players Christoffer Karlsson, Fredrik Engman, Rickard Knutsson and Andre Westerlund to Qiqihar.

The Chinese players will be announced in Beijing 6 August.

2005-04-14 Nordic Vikings will play in the Asia League Ice Hockey next season 2005 – 2006Nordic Vikings Group has today confirmed to participate with an ice hockey team in the Asia League Ice Hockey next season 2005-2006. The Nordic Vikings team will include six Chinese players and shall play against teams from Japan, China and Korea.

The Nordic Vikings Team starts up a camp at August 22 in the city of Mora, Sweden.

An event is planned in Beijing at August 6 - 7 with the launch of the Nordic Vikings Team in Beijing, an exhibition game and an Asian League Ice Hockey press conference. An invitation and a program for the event will follow within short.
